Chakli (Chakri) is a savoury snack from India. It is a spiral shaped, pretzel-like snack with a spiked surface. Every region has its own way of making chakli. In Gujarat and Maharashtra, chakli is made from all purpose flour or whole wheat flour. In Gujarat, it also called chakri. In southern part of India, it is known as murukku and it is made from urad dal flour and/or rice flour.
